Key Responsibilities

• Cover sports, sports culture, and pop culture stories with a focus on quick, precise, and creative writing
• Identify and source relevant national and international sports media stories, ensuring proper attribution
• Pursue original and exclusive stories through close contact with sources and collaborate with editors and fellow writers

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a news/sports news writing environment
• Strong writing skills with a firm grasp of current events
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment under pressure
• Flexibility to work early or late shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Preparedness to work under emergency or breaking news conditions
