SQL Business Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the SQL Business Analyst will perform initial analyses on datasets, identify trends and anomalies, and translate raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial analysis on newly available datasets using analytical tools and dashboards
• Create analytical views to support issue identification, trend tracking, and monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify data availability and ensure compliance with data governance standards

Required qualifications

• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating datasets
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify trends and actionable insights
• Experience in exploratory environments with ambiguous requirements
• Strong prioritization skills to distinguish meaningful insights from noise
