SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support large IT projects for electric utility clients, the full-time SQL Database Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases while collaborating with project managers and team members in a remote work environment with occasional on-site requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments
• Provide application support for multiple utility company applications, ensuring high-quality service delivery
• Collaborate with project teams to implement and convert databases, resolving complex technical issues as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator
• Strong expertise in all versions of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Databases
• Experience with database architecture, backup & recovery, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform
• Ability to create, modify, and diagnose stored procedures effectively
