SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

Supporting large IT projects for electric utility clients, the full-time SQL Database Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases while collaborating with project teams and ensuring successful project delivery, with the possibility of remote work and on-call responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments
• Provide application support for multiple utility company applications, working directly with client customers
• Establish plans for implementation and conversion of databases in collaboration with project management teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator
• Strong core SQL DBA skills with experience on all versions of Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with database architecture, backup & recovery, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform
• Ability to create, modify, and diagnose stored procedures
