SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support large IT projects for electric utility clients, the full-time SQL Database Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases while collaborating with project managers and clients, with the potential for remote work and occasional on-call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases across various environments, including installation, configuration, and backup/recovery
• Provide application support for multiple utility company applications, working directly with client customers
• Collaborate with project teams to establish plans for database implementation and conversion, resolving complex issues as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with 4+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator
• Strong core SQL DBA skills with experience across all versions of Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with database architecture, backup & recovery, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform
• Ability to create, modify, and diagnose stored procedures
