SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator for a remote contract position, the candidate will support and maintain a complex global IT infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft SQL Server, database performance tuning, and modern infrastructure practices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments for performance and reliability
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS or similar tools

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Strong experience with performance tuning and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Familiarity with cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, etc.)
