Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator for a contract role, the remote position will manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and security across global IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, implementing performance tuning strategies and resolving bottlenecks
• Design and support high availability solutions while ensuring robust backup and recovery strategies are in place
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on database migrations and modernization initiatives across on-premises and cloud platforms

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Strong experience with performance tuning and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Familiarity with cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, etc.)
