SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing databases, the full-time SQL Database Administrator will manage installations, configurations, and upgrades while mentoring junior team members in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and recovery operations
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality
• Implement and maintain database security measures and assist in disaster recovery planning

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience as an MS SQL Database Administrator
• Competent with SQL coding and troubleshooting
• Experience with on-prem and Azure SQL environments
• Availability to participate in an on-call rotation
