SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support large IT projects for electric utility clients, the full-time SQL Database Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases while collaborating with project managers and ensuring project deliverables are met, with the possibility of remote work and on-call responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments
• Provide application support for multiple utility company applications, working directly with client customers
• Collaborate with project teams to establish plans for database implementation and conversion

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator
• Strong core SQL DBA skills with experience in all versions of Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with database architecture, backup & recovery, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform
• Ability to create, modify, and diagnose stored procedures
