SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support large information technology projects for electric utility clients, the full-time SQL Database Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases while collaborating with project teams and ensuring successful project delivery, with potential remote work and occasional on-call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments
• Provide application support for multiple utility company applications, working directly with client customers
• Collaborate with project managers to establish plans for database implementation and conversion

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator
• Strong core SQL DBA skills and experience with all versions of Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience in database architecture, backup & recovery, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform
• Ability to create, modify, and diagnose stored procedures
