SQL Developer
Job Summary
To support the development of an internal data intelligence platform, the part-time SQL Developer will design and implement relational schemas, refactor legacy structures, and build the database layer in a Microsoft/Azure Cloud environment while working remotely during East Coast daytime hours.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement relational schemas in Azure SQL, including new tables and fields
- Refactor and consolidate legacy structures, ensuring data integrity and migration without breaking dependencies
- Build normalized designs and implement data-quality logic at the database layer
Required qualifications
- Strong T-SQL skills, including DDL, constraints, and indexing
- Proven experience with Azure SQL Database in a Microsoft/Azure environment
- Experience in schema design and refactoring in live systems
- Deep understanding of normalization patterns and database relationships
- Ability to read and implement technical design references accurately
