SQL Developer and DBA

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced SQL Developer and Database Administrator, the remote contract position requires 6+ years of hands-on experience managing production SQL Server environments, with a focus on Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and AWS MySQL, while optimizing performance and collaborating with technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage production SQL Server environments across Azure and AWS platforms
• Author, review, and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and schema changes
• Collaborate with solution architects to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator with SQL Server expertise
• Proficiency with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance
• Experience with AWS MySQL and cloud-hosted relational databases
• Advanced T-SQL skills, including query optimization and execution plan analysis
• Working knowledge of Entity Framework and its SQL generation patterns
