SQL Engineer III

Job Summary

Working fully remote, the full-time salaried SQL Engineer III will design, develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL-based data solutions while serving as a subject matter expert in database performance and influencing data standards across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures for mission-critical systems
• Optimize database and query performance through indexing, execution plan analysis, and schema improvements
• Partner with engineering, ETL, BI, and product teams to define scalable data solutions and troubleshoot complex data quality issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and performance tuning
• Significant experience in SQL engineering, data engineering, or database development
• Deep understanding of relational database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and large datasets
