SQL Server Database Administrator

Job Summary

Managing the day-to-day administration of the Microsoft SQL Server environment, the full-time remote SQL Server Database Administrator will handle database operations, support internal teams with ad-hoc requests, and execute scheduled data releases while ensuring optimal performance and security.

Key responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SQL Server instances across various environments, monitoring health and performance
• Serve as the point of contact for database requests, prioritizing and managing competing demands while executing ad-hoc queries
• Plan and coordinate recurring production data releases, tracking progress and managing timelines effectively

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server database administration experience
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL, including writing and tuning complex queries and stored procedures
• Solid understanding of backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts
• Experience managing scheduled production release cycles across multiple environments
