SQL Server DBA

Job Summary

A company is looking for a SQL Server DBA - Performance Tuning Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth performance analysis and optimize queries using DMVs and Extended Events
• Manage indexes and statistics to enhance database performance and automate updates
• Refactor SQL code and stabilize execution plans while tuning server configurations and AWS integration

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience tuning SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 in high-volume OLTP environments
• Expertise in execution plans, wait-stat analysis, index strategies, and statistics management
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2-hosted SQL Server and CloudWatch
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell/Python for automation and CI/CD integration
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and third-party profilers
