A company is looking for a SQL Server DBA - Performance Tuning Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth performance analysis and profile queries to enhance database efficiency
Manage indexes and statistics, implementing optimizations for improved query performance
Perform server-level tuning and automate environment provisioning and configuration

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience tuning SQL Server in high-volume OLTP environments
Expertise in execution plans, wait-stat analysis, and index strategies
Hands-on experience with EC2-hosted SQL Server and AWS services
Proficiency in PowerShell/Python for automation and CI/CD integration
Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as SQL Profiler and Extended Events
