Sr Coder Abstractor
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Sr Coder Abstractor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Code and abstract inpatient and complex outpatient medical records for performance improvement, statistical research, administrative, and facility reimbursement purposes
- Utilize ICD10-CM, ICD10-PCS, and CPT-4 coding systems
- Collaborate with Coding Analyst, Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists, and Regional Coding Operations Coordinator
Required Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Health Information or CCS certification with a minimum of 2 years coding experience
- Certification as a RHIT, RHIA, or CCS
- 1-3 years' previous experience using ICD10-CM, ICD10 PCS, and CPT-4 coding systems
- Demonstrated ability to meet productivity and quality standards
- Keyboard entry skills
