Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Python Backend Engineer on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project Engineering Lead and team members to develop robust and extensible APIs and back-end architecture
• Provide leadership on data modeling, controller code, session management, authentication, security, scalability, and integrations
• Develop and deploy on cloud platforms, write unit tests, and work with microservices and containers

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience with Python, 3+ years with FastAPI & Flask
• Strong experience with SQL databases and ORM, microservices, and RPC & REST API development
• Experience with cloud platforms, modern Javascript/Typescript, and unit testing
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Docker containers, NoSQL databases, container orchestration tools, and message queues is a plus
