Staff Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant to build its internal accounting function from scratch as it transitions to a GAAP-compliant operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the month-end close checklist
• Manage expense administration, vendor records, and employee expense report reviews
• Document internal controls and assist with tax compliance and audit preparations

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in SaaS
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience with AP/Expense automation tools
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA track is a plus
• Strong ownership mentality and self-starter attitude
• Ability to build accounting processes from the ground up
