Staff Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliations for memberships and financial accounts
• Record journal entries and assist with the monthly financial close process
• Resolve synchronization issues between accounting platforms and manage payment schedules

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
• Experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and preparing tax returns
• Previous experience in audit preparation and financial documentation
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting
