Staff Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant to manage financial operations related to carrier payables and receivables.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage carrier payables and receivables, including premium remittance and commission tracking
• Reconcile carrier statements to internal systems and support month-end close activities
• Investigate discrepancies in carrier activity and collaborate with Controllers to enhance reporting accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Experience in an insurance brokerage accounting environment
• Direct exposure to carrier accounts payable and receivable
• Strong understanding of general ledger transactions
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
• Familiarity with systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, or ERP/GL systems like NetSuite or SAP
