Staff Accountant

Job Summary

To support the accounting department's operations, the full-time remote Staff Accountant will manage financial discrepancies, oversee month-end financial close processes, and provide timely financial information while collaborating with operational staff to enhance profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Oversee the timely month-end financial close process and assist with financial statement preparation
• Manage financial vendor relationships and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in an operational finance/accounting position
• Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software
• Experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting, including claims billing exposure
• Intermediate computer skills in Excel
