Staff Accountant
Job Summary
To support the financial operations of a logistics firm, the full-time Staff Accountant will perform bank reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and produce financial statements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations accurately in McLeod
- Prepare, review, and post General Ledger journal entries and lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Monitor brokerage margins and track key financial KPIs to drive profitability
Required qualifications
- Hands-on proficiency with McLeod Software's financial and accounting modules
- Proven accounting experience within the logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage industry
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, bank reconciliations, and financial statement generation
- Demonstrated capability to analyze transaction data and identify revenue opportunities
- Ability to work independently and manage the accounting function end-to-end
