Staff Accountant Custodial Accounting

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and highly motivated, the remote Staff Accountant Custodial Accounting will manage monthly reconciliations, monitor custodial account activity, and ensure compliance with accounting standards while collaborating with various teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly reconciliations and analysis of custodial accounts, ensuring accurate recording of client assets and cash transactions
• Monitor custodial account activity, investigating discrepancies and ensuring proper documentation of transactions
• Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews to strengthen financial controls over custodial funds and client assets

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with cash management and reconciliations
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with custodial accounts, trust accounts, or similar financial structures (preferred)
