Staff Accountant, New York

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant, Corporate Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update International sales contracts and amendments in the FilmTrack system
• Review billing schedules and contracts to ensure accuracy of revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
• Assist with the monthly close process and reconcile key balance sheet accounts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred
• 2+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting, ideally within media or content distribution
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition guidance (i.e. ASC 606)
• Experience with contract/revenue management systems such as FilmTrack preferred
• Advanced skills with MS Excel, with familiarity with large data sets
