Job Summary
Leading the actuarial strategy for Virta Health, the full-time Staff Actuary will manage the evolution of savings methodologies and performance guarantees while collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate the financial impact of clinical outcomes in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve Virta's actuarial and financial value strategy, translating clinical outcomes into financial impact
- Design and evaluate performance guarantees and value-based contracts that balance client value with financial risk
- Partner with various teams to shape product and commercial strategies, providing actionable recommendations based on rigorous analyses
Required qualifications
- FSA or ASA designation with 12+ years of experience in healthcare actuarial work or related fields
- Extensive experience using medical and pharmacy claims to demonstrate economic value in healthcare
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with complex healthcare datasets
- Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance analysis and improve workflows
- Experience translating complex analyses into strategic business recommendations
