Staff AI Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff AI Engineer to lead high-impact projects and mentor teammates in developing AI-powered features.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end implementation of AI-powered product features and mentor other engineers
• Handle prompt engineering, model tuning, and evaluation strategies to enhance reliability and user experience
• Collaborate with product and design partners to define and scope AI-driven experiences

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in building ML/AI-powered features in production
• Proven experience shipping production AI/GenAI features end-to-end
• Strong background as a Staff-level product software engineer
• Deep expertise in LLMs, prompt engineering, and evaluation methods
• Proficiency in backend development using languages such as Python, Go, Ruby, or TypeScript
