Staff AI Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff AI Engineer to develop a new AI-native product.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement student-facing product interfaces and real-time AI features
• Develop backend services and AI integration, including API routes and event-driven pipelines
• Own the end-to-end feature development process, from specification to production, ensuring quality and performance

Required Qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional experience in software development
• Proficient with AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code in a full-stack development environment
• Experience shipping products with accountability for user experience and functionality
• Comfortable working with technologies including React/Next.js/TypeScript, Node.js or Python, and PostgreSQL
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI-powered features in production
