Staff AI Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the architectural vision for machine learning infrastructure, the full-time Staff AI Engineer will design and deploy production-scale AI solutions for document understanding and data extraction in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and drive the strategic vision for AI/ML platforms that enhance document ingestion and extraction across product teams
• Establish frameworks for dataset quality and ML validation to ensure compliance and safety in healthcare applications
• Mentor junior AI engineers and manage delivery for cross-functional teams, aligning ML roadmaps with business needs

Required qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of experience in AI/ML engineering, including three years in a leadership role
• Hands-on experience with deploying S/LLMs or generative AI applications
• Proven ability to extract structured data from unstructured documents
• Strong software engineering skills in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks like Kubeflow and PyTorch
• Experience with OCR technologies and NLP techniques in production environments
