Staff AI Engineer

Job Summary

To shape the future of AI in compliance, the remote Staff AI Engineer will design and own production AI systems, influence architectural decisions, and establish quality standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage end-to-end production AI systems, including LLM pipelines and workflow orchestration
• Develop evaluation systems to measure performance and implement tooling for early regression detection
• Lead AI architecture discussions and mentor senior engineers while ensuring compliance with technical standards

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on ML/AI systems
• Proven ownership of production LLM systems and deep experience with RAG, embeddings, and vector databases
• Strong Python skills, with TypeScript knowledge considered a plus
• Experience in designing evaluation frameworks and using quantitative analysis for system improvement
• Ability to translate complex findings into clear technical recommendations and work cross-functionally
