Staff AI Engineer

Job Summary

To shape the core intelligence of an AI agent, the full-time remote Staff AI Engineer will manage backend systems, enhance agent quality through user feedback, and ensure the service remains fast and reliable as it scales.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the agent's intelligence and behavior to improve user assistance in building applications
• Scale and maintain the backend services that support the AI agent in production
• Drive quality measurement and improvement of the agent based on real-world usage feedback

Required qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience in designing clean systems and shipping well-tested code
• Experience building and operating scalable backend services, proficient in TypeScript and Python
• Track record of developing AI or agent-powered products with a solid understanding of LLM applications
• Strong product intuition for making decisions in ambiguous situations and balancing user needs with technical tradeoffs
• Passion for exploring AI coding tools and their potential to automate workflows and enhance creativity
