Staff AI Engineer
Job Summary
To shape the architecture of AI systems, the full-time remote Staff AI Engineer will design and own production AI systems, raise quality standards, and lead cross-functional teams in building reliable and responsible AI solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design and manage end-to-end production AI systems, including LLM pipelines and workflow orchestration
- Develop evaluation systems to measure performance and quality, and implement tooling for early regression detection
- Analyze production outputs to identify issues, providing clear technical recommendations based on data
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on ML/AI systems
- Proven ownership of production LLM systems and experience with RAG, embeddings, and vector databases
- Strong Python programming skills, with TypeScript as a plus
- Experience in designing evaluation frameworks and using quantitative analysis for system improvement
- Demonstrated ability to make architectural decisions that influence team direction
