Staff AI Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Data & Intelligence function, the remote Staff AI Engineer will design, build, and ship production AI systems, focusing on customer context retrieval, inference layers, and actionable workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and ship production AI code daily, actively contributing to the development process
• Lead efforts in making customer context retrievable quickly through various data retrieval approaches
• Build inference and signal layers that process data and expose actionable signals for other teams

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in AI or ML systems production
• Strong programming fundamentals with deep proficiency in Python
• Fluency in advanced SQL and experience with data at scale, including distributed query engines
• Experience in production retrieval and context engineering, including embeddings and vector search
• Cloud deployment experience, preferably with AWS, and understanding of inference cost management
