Job Summary

Architecting the AI-native operating engine for Yahoo Mail, the full-time Staff AI Operations Engineer will deploy full-stack internal AI products, define foundational engineering patterns, and establish automated evaluation frameworks while collaborating across various departments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy full-stack internal AI products, including backend integrations and frontend interfaces
• Define engineering patterns and platform architectures for reliability, data permissions, and enterprise privacy
• Establish automated evaluation frameworks to mitigate inaccuracies in operational systems

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, product management, or platform architecture with a focus on full-stack development
• Professional experience with LLM-backed applications and automated internal operations systems
• Familiarity with production-grade AI development platforms such as AWS Bedrock and Vertex AI
• Experience building custom API integrations with enterprise platforms like Jira and Google Workspace
• Strong proficiency in software engineering stacks, including Python, TypeScript, and React
