Staff AI Scientist

Job Summary

To improve healthcare outcomes and reduce costs, the full-time Staff AI Scientist will leverage big data solutions to develop and deploy machine learning models while collaborating with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver solutions that enhance healthcare quality and identify payment integrity issues through machine learning and AI techniques
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to validate hypotheses for potential AI/ML use cases and document findings for team collaboration
• Deploy trained models into production and support ongoing performance monitoring in collaboration with production operations

Required qualifications

• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Operations Research
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in data science/AI, utilizing tools like pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow/PyTorch
• Experience with natural language processing techniques and tools, including transformers and LLMs
• Proficiency in building production-grade machine learning deployments on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Apache Spark and large-scale distributed datasets
