Staff Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Analytics Engineer who will serve as the technical authority for the data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of a migration from legacy dbt models to a modular Medallion structure
• Define standards for data contracts, naming conventions, and testing frameworks
• Optimize Snowflake usage and identify inefficiencies to enhance performance and reduce costs

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 8+ years of industry experience in migrating large-scale data environments
• Expert-level mastery of dbt, including dbt Mesh and cross-project dependencies
• Proficiency in Python for data operations and Airflow for orchestration
• Strong understanding of Version Control and CI/CD practices
• Ability to articulate technical debt and architectural trade-offs to stakeholders
