Staff Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as the technical anchor for an analytics engineering team, the full-time Staff Analytics Engineer will manage ontology design, semantic modeling, and complex data architecture, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the team's data models in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Own the modeling and architecture of ontology objects and semantic models, ensuring they accurately represent business operations
• Act as a technical thought partner to product and business leaders, translating ambiguous needs into clear technical plans
• Drive data-as-a-product expectations and ensure the reliability of data contracts and documentation for critical initiatives

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in analytics engineering, BI engineering, or data modeling roles
• Deep expertise in semantic and data modeling, with experience in ontology-driven models
• Fluency in dimensional modeling for BI consumption, particularly with Looker/LookML
• Experience with data mesh and domain-oriented architecture
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to influence without formal authority
