Staff Analytics Engineer
Job Summary
To anchor the Universal Horizontal Platform Layer, the full-time Staff Analytics Engineer will lead the migration to Snowflake, oversee platform architecture, and optimize warehouse performance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of the migration to Snowflake, establishing blueprints and execution playbooks for domain pods
- Act as a technical bridge between engineering and business strategy, negotiating technical boundaries and establishing intake guardrails
- Own Snowflake compute-cost profiling and warehouse performance, governing financial and operational baselines for cloud infrastructure
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data architecture, or data engineering with a focus on systems-level strategies
- Experience leading the architectural design or migration of modern cloud data platforms like Snowflake
- Expert-level SQL proficiency and experience designing data models using Medallion architectures
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with dbt for building and testing production-grade ELT pipelines
- Proven ability to design and enforce automated CI/CD testing gates within production git workflows
