Staff Android Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Android Engineer with experience in mobile development and complex distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and ship Android client features for users to monetize their contributions on the platform
• Move quickly while maintaining product quality and balancing speed with quality
• Contribute to team strategy and collaborate with product managers and designers to create compelling user experiences

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of mobile development experience with multiple parts of the Android stack, preferably with experience in Jetpack Compose
• Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load
• Experience developing customer-facing public applications is preferred
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
• Experience mentoring engineers, owning team processes, and leading cross-functional projects is preferred
