Staff Android Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time Staff Android Engineer on the Cash App Consumer Platform, the successful candidate will build and own foundational Android infrastructure, lead AI-native engineering practices, and drive organizational impact through collaboration across teams, all while working in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve foundational Android infrastructure, including modularization and dependency injection
- Drive Cash App's Android architecture forward and develop shared libraries and frameworks for feature teams
- Identify cross-cutting technical problems and mentor engineers to raise the technical ceiling within the Android community
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of Android development experience with a proven track record of impact at an organizational level
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and a strong perspective on AI's role in engineering
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to identify and design solutions for non-obvious problems
- Deep expertise in Android technologies including Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and performance profiling
