Staff Android Engineer, Accessibility

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Android Engineer, Accessibility & UI Systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build core UI frameworks and design tooling for maintaining and testing the design system at scale, focusing on accessibility
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to create a scalable and accessible design system for mobile applications
• Support product teams in adopting the design system and provide timely assistance to unblock engineering needs

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Android's accessibility technologies and knowledge of mobile accessibility standards
• 12+ years of Android development experience
• Experience with Jetpack Compose
• Understanding of UI design principles and experience building design systems at medium to large scale
• Experience as a technical lead or DRI for a small to medium-sized team
