Staff Application Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the application surfaces of a live, patient-facing clinical product, the full-time Staff Application Engineer will manage the embeddable widget, clinician portal, and Python service layer while advising on full-stack architectural decisions and mentoring junior engineers in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the application surfaces of the clinical product end to end, including the widget, portal, and service layer
- Advise on full-stack architectural decisions and identify areas for improvement within the system
- Build and operate application work that supports AI Intake and manage internal tools used by clinicians
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in shipping and operating production full-stack web software, including at least 1 year at a staff level
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React, with experience in a modern server-rendered framework like Next.js
- Strong Python skills and experience with async web frameworks, relational schema design, and caching
- Experience creating versioned dependencies consumed by other teams, understanding the implications of breaking changes
- Fluency with LLM application development concepts to effectively collaborate with data scientists
