Staff Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on the strategy, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application security program, the full-time remote Staff Application Security Engineer will advise on secure product design, perform security reviews and testing, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the design of secure products and architectures while performing architecture and code security reviews
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement security-related systems, including writing secure code and verifying threat models
• Monitor software usage and conduct forensics to ensure compliance with security standards and anticipate emerging security trends

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant Information Security and/or Software Engineering experience
• Fluency with AI/LLM-specific security risks and experience with AI-powered application features
• Excellent knowledge of secure application programming, coding life cycles, and design
• Advanced knowledge of multiple current operating systems and hosting environments
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH)
