Staff Applied AI Engineer

Job Summary

Bridging the gap between advanced AI capabilities and patient needs, the full-time Staff Applied AI Product Engineer will architect and integrate LLM-driven features into a healthcare platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance care navigation and improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap for Generative AI, focusing on automating healthcare coordination
• Lead the development of AI-powered features, ensuring reliability and user satisfaction through iterative prototyping
• Implement monitoring and observability practices to maintain high availability, security, and scalability of AI services

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with a strong background in building scalable systems
• 2+ years of experience architecting production-grade applications using LLMs and managing RAG pipelines
• Proficiency in web application environments, particularly with Ruby on Rails and React
• Experience with DevOps practices, including Terraform for AI infrastructure design
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills, including mentoring and driving execution across teams
