Staff Applied AI Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the product-layer decisions that shape agent behavior, the full-time Staff Applied AI Engineer will design and iterate on agent capabilities, improve performance through experimentation, and partner with Product and Engineering teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and iterate on agent behavior across real, live workflows, including multi-turn tasks
• Create and validate evaluation frameworks to measure performance, regressions, and failure modes
• Partner closely with Product and product managers to ensure agents are capable, steerable, and trustworthy

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of production software engineering experience, with 3+ years in ML, LLM, or agentic systems in production
• Hands-on experience with RAG architecture and production-grounded evaluation frameworks
• Working familiarity with AWS AI/ML services, including Bedrock and SageMaker
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose agent failures and attribute fixes to design elements
• Equivalent practical experience that demonstrates the depth required for this staff-level role
