Staff Applied Data Scientist

Job Summary

To serve as a technical leader and bridge between business challenges and data science solutions, the full-time Staff Applied Data Scientist will design and deploy advanced algorithmic solutions, mentor the data science team, and collaborate with customers on implementations in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end solutions by defining technical vision and best practices for data science projects
• Drive business impact by identifying opportunities to apply optimization and machine learning to operational planning challenges
• Manage and guide the data science team, providing mentorship and overseeing project planning and resource allocation

Required Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
• Advanced programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow)
• Extensive experience applying data science to real-world operational planning or supply chain problems
• Prior experience managing or mentoring data scientists and driving cross-functional alignment
• Excellent communication skills with a track record of building trust with customers during technical implementations
