Staff Applied Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on building production ML systems, the full-time Staff Applied Machine Learning Engineer will transform customer behavior and product context into trusted signals for recommendations, ranking, and decision-making in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate production ML systems that generate trusted signals, rankings, and recommendations
• Design data and signal contracts to ensure clarity on use, freshness, and eligibility for downstream consumers
• Own end-to-end systems for ranking, retrieval, recommendations, and next-best-action decisioning, including experimentation and monitoring

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in building and operating production software and ML systems for business-critical products
• Deep expertise in intelligent systems such as ranking/retrieval, recommendations, and customer intelligence
• Strong judgment in production ML across feature pipelines, model serving, and reliable signal interfaces
• Ability to evaluate impact beyond short-term conversion, including trust, fairness, and long-term engagement
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools for customer-impacting systems
