Staff Applied Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Applied Scientist to lead technical architecture and strategy for the Vision team.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical vision for the Vision team, focusing on parking compliance and rider safety
• Develop real-time solutions for complex challenges such as tandem riding detection and sidewalk riding prevention
• Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize vision algorithms for edge devices and oversee the lifecycle from data strategy to model deployment

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Computer Vision and Machine Learning with a track record of deploying models in real-world environments
• Expertise in optimizing CV models for embedded hardware with a focus on power and computational efficiency
• Deep understanding of sensor fusion techniques combining visual and non-visual data
• Experience leading technical strategy for complex projects and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
• PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Computer Vision
