Job Summary

To advance climate and energy campaigns, the remote Staff Attorney I will lead litigation efforts, engage in regulatory proceedings, and provide legal support to various teams while collaborating closely with the legal, policy, and organizing staff.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and co-counsel litigation from case development through appeals to support organizational goals
  • Engage in federal, state, and local regulatory proceedings to advance priorities and build administrative records
  • Act as a public spokesperson for FWW's legal work and represent the organization in court and meetings with government agencies
Required qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and bar admission in any U.S. state
  • At least two years of experience as a practicing attorney focused on environmental issues, particularly climate and energy
  • Proficiency with Adobe Pro and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Commitment to FWW's core values of justice, human dignity, fair treatment, and equity
