Job Summary
Designing and optimizing audit workflows, the full-time remote Staff Automation Engineer will focus on integrating Generative AI and process engineering principles to transition the audit department to a continuous assurance model that provides real-time risk insights.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and map complex audit processes to identify automation opportunities and apply Lean/Six Sigma principles to eliminate inefficiencies
- Build AI-assisted workflows for control mapping, automated walkthroughs, and anomaly narrative generation while managing a Prompt Registry and Agent Library
- Design automations in Microsoft Power Automate, develop real-time risk dashboards, and ensure AI solutions meet governance and privacy standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or Accounting with a technical focus
- 5-8+ years of experience in Audit Transformation, Process Excellence, or Business Systems Engineering
- Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration and AI platforms such as Vellum or Copilot Studio
- Advanced proficiency in automation tools like Power Automate, Zapier, or Make
- Experience with SQL, Python, and AI-based audit tools such as DataSnipper or Alteryx
